I just subscribed — when can I start redeeming? As soon as your subscription is active, you'll be able to redeem this month's perk via the Perks tab on your account page or nymag.com/perks.
How do I find the Perks tab on the New York app? Make sure you're logged in with the email tied to your active digital subscription and have the newest version of the app downloaded. Then go to the search tab, hit "your account," and then "perks." Alternatively, you can access it by typing nymag.com/perks into your browser.
Why do I need to wait until I'm at the restaurant to activate the pass? Once you hit "redeem," the pass becomes time-stamped. Please use the pass within one hour. As soon as you close it, the perk is marked as redeemed and the pass can't be reopened. Wait until you're at Balthazar or Morandi and ready to show your server before tapping "Activate Perk."
Can I screenshot the perks pass and use it later? No. The pass is a live, time-stamped screen.
