Automatic Renewal & Recurring Memberships
Subscriptions to New York Magazine automatically renew at the end of the stated billing term. By subscribing, you are opting-in to automatic renewal of your subscription to New York Magazine and hereby authorize Vox Media to renew your subscriptions that you have selected on an automatic, recurring basis as subscribed to the credit or debit card that you place on file.
Monthly Renewal Terms
Automatic renewals for monthly plans will be processed every 30 days, starting at the end of the stated introductory period. You will be notified 7 days before the end of your introductory period and the start of your $8/month recurring billing cycle. If you do not wish to proceed with automatic renewal for an upcoming subscription month, you may cancel your subscription before your next billing charge through the account page, or by contacting our customer support team. Your digital access will remain active until the last day of the current 30 day billing period.
Annual Renewal Terms
Automatic renewals for annual plans will be processed 365 days from your first order. You will be notified 30 days prior to renewal. If you do not wish to proceed with automatic renewal for an upcoming subscription year, you must cancel your subscription before your automatic renewal date through the account page, or by contacting our customer support team. Annual subscribers who cancel ahead of their annual renewal date will maintain digital access until the end of the annual term. You will be notified via email from New York Magazine confirming your cancelation. Eligible refunds will be processed automatically and reflected on your credit card statement within 5-10 business days of cancelation.
Gift Subscription Billing
Gift subscriptions through New York Magazine are final sale once activated by the recipient, and charge the gift giver a one-time charge of the posted subscription term. Gift subscriptions do not automatically renew at the end of the annual term. Recipients of a gift subscription will be able to resubscribe at the end of their currently active term, or continue with their existing subscription should they receive another year. Donors will be given the option to renew the gift or purchase a new subscription for the recipient.

Digital Subscription Cancelations
Subscribers on a digital-only subscription (billed monthly or annually) will maintain digital access until the end of their current term, then in effect. The subscription will not automatically renew, and digital access will expire on the last day of the monthly or annual plan.
Print & Digital Subscriptions Cancelations
Subscribers canceling their Print + Digital subscription will maintain digital and print access until the end of their current term. The subscription will not automatically renew, and access will expire on the last day of the plan. After the request has been processed — either online or through our help desk — you will receive an automatic notice via email confirming your cancellation. Once the end of the current billing cycle has passed, your access will be revoked. You can still access a limited number of articles for free each month.
Refunds

Gift subscriptions are not eligible for a refund once the account becomes active. Gift subscriptions become active at the time of redemption when the recipient is asked to create their digital log-in. Recipients will have 12 months to activate their subscription and will receive access to New York Magazine for 12 months after activation.
Print subscribers are eligible for partial refunds for missed deliveries of the magazine, except in instances when the address provided has been marked as undeliverable by the United States Postal Service.
Notifications
We will send an email acknowledgement of pending, requested recurring subscription payments for annual subscribers 30 days prior to the date the credit or debit card will be charged. Monthly subscribers will receive an email acknowledging the end of their introductory period 7 days prior to automatic renewal for the standard, current rate. Notifications and communications related to recurring charges will be sent to the email address provided by the subscriber. If the email provided is invalid, the subscriber is responsible for communicating a corrected email address to customer service. Should the price of a subscription rate increase, subscribers will be notified via email a minimum of 30 days in advance.
Changes to Subscription Rates & Terms
New York Magazine/ Vox Media reserves the right to change its subscription dues rates at any time. Automatic subscription renewals will be charged at the then-current subscription dues rate. Any changes to subscription dues will be communicated by Vox to the enrolled subscriber prior to the automatic payment date. It is the responsibility of the subscriber to update their subscription record.
Payments & Failed Charges
New York Magazine accepts credit and debit payments by VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. If paying using a credit card that belongs to your institution, you agree that you are an authorized user of said credit card. In the event that you no longer become authorized to use the card, you are responsible for updating and replacing the credit card information on file through your online renewal process or by contacting Member Services.
Should the credit card on file be declined or other issues arise with your recurring subscription, we will notify you/ the subscriber by email. If the card on file is not updated within 30 business days of notification, automatic subscription renewal (if enrolled) will be de-activated, and re-enrollment will be required by phone or online. If attempt(s) to collect payment fail and are not rectified within 30 days from subscription expiration date, your subscription and associated benefits will terminate.
